• Hendrick Hospice Care, formerly Hospice of Abilene, is the oldest, most experienced Hospice serving Abilene and the Texas Midwest for more than 23 years.
• Hendrick Hospice Care is the only hospice with a designated hospice inpatient unit in a 13-county area.
• Our staff has more than 548 years nursing experience and more than 270 years of hospice nursing experience.
• Our staff consists of Registered Nurses and Certified Nurse Aides certified in oncology, hospice and palliative Care.
• Hendrick Hospice Care is the only hospice that has a bereavement program that follows the patients’ families for at least 15 months after the death and offers all of its services to the community at no cost.
• Hendrick Hospice Care is the only hospice that offers grief groups and camps for grieving children (Rainbows and Camp Courage). These free programs are made possible by donations to Children’s Miracle Network by local and area Kiwanis Clubs.
