Camp Courage
REGISTRATION FOR CAMP COURAGE is closed.
Camp Courage 2020 is May 28 - 31.
Applications will be accepted beginning March 1.
Camp Courage is a three-day, two-night camp
for children entering the third through 12th grade who have
suffered the loss of a loved one through death, divorce, separation,
incarceration or deployment. Children participate in recreational activities
that promote self-esteem, encourage self-healing, and provide an outlet for
unexpressed emotions.
The camp offers a supportive environment and
encourages trust, self-confidence and an understanding of the grief process. In
addition, with the help of specially trained counselors, campers develop
healthy coping skills as a result of the variety of grief exercises offered,
which ultimately help build self-confidence, trust, and an understanding of the
grief process.
